I think the experiences of people who went to Fieldston Lower, those who went to Ethical, and those who entered the Middle School or High School later were often very different. Our FLS class grade had one class that varied in size from 16 to 20 students. We had a John Dewey inspired education: spent a lot of time tromping around outdoors, and were, in many ways "country kids."
